dokidoki - dokidoki" is a collection of works that documents musician kengoshimiz's foray into traditional Japanese music. The collection consists of 69 studies, each with a different purpose, large or small, reflecting the results of his previous efforts and endeavors.
Of particular importance is the fact that these studies were the site of the discovery and development of new compositional theories. Discovering compositional theories that had not previously existed in traditional Japanese music was a major goal in the creation of the studies.
This collection contains his answers to various questions, such as how to find the framework of music without harmonic progression and how to create rhythm with a limited number of instruments.
Still, there is only so much that can be accomplished in this group of studies. However, for kengoshimiz, this is not a reason for frustration, but rather a basis for further achievement. The release of this body of work is a step along the path of his growth and evolution and a new beginning in his musical exploration of what is possible in the future.
